GRAB, GO, DROP - absolutely new reusable coffee cup!

Vessel Works start-up offers a reusable to-go mug that customers can take with them and then drop off later at another participating cafe. All you need is the Vessel app, and one of their stainless steel mugs that can be used temporarily for free (assuming return within five days).

  • I like this idea, and the fact it already exists means it is a feasible approach. The only issue I see is in the participation. If only a few collection/drop points are available this becomes worse than having your own reusable cup. If it becomes mainstream instead the convenience would be very high.

  • Really interesting! But as Federica Parisi, I'm concerned about the drop points... If the project was extended to more colaboration points it will have a greater impact :) I understand it is a small project by now and it will probably become bigger. I really like the fact of having an app for this.
What about the cleaning? Is it done locally? Asthis would decrease even more the environmental impact of the product.

  • Could the cups have an electronic chip in them so that the ones that do end up in the rubbish can be identified and separated out during rubbish processing?
